Dutch Branch is a branch of the Trinity River in the environs of the city of Fort Worth, in north central Texas. When I first moved to Texas, my love of landscape, that is landscape with no visible evidence of things man-made, drew me to the Trinity River and this unique area. Dutch Branch was not far from my home in Fort Worth, which enabled me to make quick visits and numerous sketches, which ultimately became subjects for this Dutch Branch Series.
